SHOP ROANOKE FOR THE HOLIDAYS for Something Extra Special
Roanoke has become one of Indiana’s most treasured small towns bustling with locally owned specialty shops and restaurants that provide the old-fashioned, personable and enjoyable Holiday shopping experience.
On November 12th and 13th, Roanoke’s shops and restaurants will all be open and festively decorated for its special town-wide Holiday Open House Celebration. Roanoke’s charming historic downtown provides the perfect setting to actually enjoy shopping. All of its shops are locally owned and operated offering the special and the unique for holiday gift buying.
The Emporium at Joseph Decuis will be featuring samples of their Signature gourmet foods and on Saturday from 1-5pm tastings of these foods will be enjoyed along with a tasting of wines from its new wine shop. Its wine director will be on hand to make recommendations for holiday dinners and gifts.
The Inn at Joseph Decuis, decorated for the Holidays, will be open for tours and will offer holiday gift certificates on Saturday from 1-4pm with horse-drawn carriage rides for that special old time fun and charm.
Fabrics & Friends Quilt Shop on First Street will celebrate its Grand Opening. It is a fabric lovers’ dream with prints and solids of every color and pattern imaginable as well as a multitude of quilting accessories.
Opening on November 12th and open only on Fridays and Saturdays until Christmas, is the Renaissance Art Gallery on Main Street. The gallery is a co-op of seven artists from Roanoke’s Renaissance Art show. The art for sale will range from oil paintings to pottery, photography, wood turnings and custom jewelry.
